This is an email that I, Jane Bilello, wrote to Rep Sarah Stevens, a cosponsor of H958 with Rep Hugh Blackwell. Ms. Stevens attended a Christmas Party in Buncombe County on 12/12 and announced she was running for NC Supreme Court. Since I could not speak to her after her speech, I took the opportunity to appeal to her to accept NCEIT's suggestions and to move the bill out of the Election Law Committee before the primaries. NCEIT’s H 958 PCS Bill Summary Multiple sections of state statutes are addressed relating to contributions by foreign nationals, overseas voters, voter registration, including the application and verification of information, qualifications to vote and use of HAVA documents The Challenge § 163-278.6 Definitions of foreign nationals. The definition in the PCS has exceptions which should be deleted to remove any possibility of foreign influence in our elections. § 163-258.
